Garden!
I grew up with a garden in the backyard
I remember potatoes, strawberries, dill, monarch caterpillars, chrysalises, and butterflies, and green beans. I am sure there was more, but that is my memory. When I went to college, I thought I was going to major in languages and creative writing. The only problem was that I had had some amazing high school teachers and the college teachers in these subjects were not measuring up. So, looking around, I ended up in a Practical Botany class, and my attention and love were quickly established! My room filled up with many plants, and to this day, one of my greatest passions is growing plants - any and all plants, but mostly food plants, herbs or medicine plants, and beautiful flowers!
